Rick Davis is a real estate attorney and the founder of Rick Davis Real Estate, a full-service company focused on serving real estate investors. There are four primary divisions to RDRE – a law firm, a title company, a real estate brokerage, and a company that invests in real estate. The goal of RDRE is to help investors navigate the legal and other challenges of real estate investing in a manner that avoids legal issues and encourages continued growth of the investor’s business.
One of the highlights of RDRE Law is the new Guarded Pockets™ program. There are many podcasts, websites, and communities that teach you how to get “bigger pockets” or to grow wealth and income, but there are far fewer resources available to teach you how to guard your pockets or protect the wealth and income you have generated. Guarded Pockets™ Is an affordable monthly subscription program that provides real estate investors with unlimited access to a local real estate attorney to ask legal questions and to proactively avoid legal issues – saving the investor time, money, and headaches down the road. Additionally, RDRE Law provides other legal services geared for real estate investors, including evictions, foreclosures, trustee sales, quiet title actions, litigation defense, business planning, and contract review and drafting. All of RDRE Law’s legal services are provided at fixed set rates to provide fair, transparent, and predictable pricing for the firm’s clients.
As an attorney, Rick has worked with many individuals who have invested in or desire to invest in real estate in Kansas and Missouri and Rick is an investor himself, which provides him an advantage over other real estate attorneys as he understands the business and how real estate investor’s needs are often different than other clients. Over the past few years, Rick has taught countless continuing legal education programs to other lawyers on real estate-related issues and is a regular presenter at area real estate investor groups. Rick has received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV-Preeminent Peer Rating – the highest rating available from the service that utilizes anonymous surveys of other lawyers and judges to determine its ratings – and is a fellow the American Bar Foundation, the American Bar Association Real Property Trust and Estate Section, and the Construction Lawyer’s Society of America. He is also the chair-elect of the Kansas Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division and a member of the Kansas Title Standards Committee and the American Bar Association’s Single-Family Residential Committee.
